I would have liked a better layout.....
It seems put together well, but the paper is thin and there is much ghosting. The references are very small, and the footnotes are tiny. The ink could have been darker and the in text maps made larger, you can barely see some of them. I have read through Genesis and found one small typo in one note. I think that in subsequent editions they should use heavier paper, darker ink, larger references and footnotes, and larger in text maps. I think they could have used heavier paper if it were made in a double column text format. Single column formats take many more pages to produce, hence the thinner paper to compensate for a large Bible. As for the content, it is excellent. No Study Bible is perfect, but this one is great from a reformed perspective. Overall, I am enjoying it. But if they address the deficiencies I've mentioned, I would buy the improved edition.
