All Star Cast
I hadn’t seen this show before but heard a lot about it. There are a lot of cameos from stars of earlier eras. John Schneider, Tim Conway, Carl Reiner just to name a few from the first disc. The characters are funny but the writing is a little simplistic. 3 women who are vain and battered from their lives in LA decide to live in Cleveland where life is normal and they are viewed as gorgeous instead of aging and therefore forgotten women. A fourth is Betty White who is as always a perfect straight woman, plays the caretaker who lives in the cottage behind the house but can’t stay there and is constantly in the others business. It’s a nice spin but I’m hoping it gets better as it goes along as so many shows do. After all, it went 6 seasons.Bestätigter Kauf: JaArtikelzustand: Gebraucht

Purchased it for a friend
i purchased this for a friend, not for myself, since i already had every season, yes it is funny and it is a good show and it is ashamed that it ended. But be aware there is no white stripes for the item, it only has shrink wrap on it per my friend that i purchased it for. She started to watch them but didn't finish, but for me i thought it was a great, funny show! Even though he blocked me now, but what can i do, i was just telling him what my friend told me. Live and learn i guess. But it is a fantastic series that sadly ended. Our Contemporary Golden Girls
We love this series, and the characters have become like friends to us over the seasons. We've watched most of the episodes before, but they seem even funnier to us this time around. 5-Star humor.
Betty White absolutely rules. The laughs build with each passing episode. Each show is about 21 minutes long, but feels like about 5 minutes. They go down so easily. It's a cinch to watch a whole disc of 8 or more at once. Previously, I had never heard of this series but am delighted to have met it this way. It's a keeper.Bestätigter Kauf: JaArtikelzustand: Neu
