Danny (Austin O'Brien) passes through the movie screen and into the whirlwind life of crusader Jack Slater (Arnold Schwarzenegger) becoming his sidekick. But when the villains learn that they too can travel back and forth between cinema and reality, it's up to Jack Slater to put a stop their havoc wreaking.Once a character in the "Jack Slater 4" film, Danny takes on the role of Slater's sidekick, and together they combat Vivaldi (Anthony Quinn), Benedict (Charles Dance), and The Ripper (Tom Noonan), an infamous troika bent on global malice. Trouble really however, when Benedict gets a hold of Danny's magic ticket, and travels to the real world laying waste to Times Square. Jack Slater leaves his cinematic bubble and follows the villain into reality--a reality where heroes don't always win. Like a prophet armed with fire, director John McTiernan uses explosive action and booming special effects to foretell of a time when hyper reality will be achieved with the ease of buying a ticket to a movie.

Underrated In Its Time, Now Sorely Missed In This Time
In the theaters, there's so much dark and angry product that there are people getting sick and tired of it. Before this happened, there were films like this one where some people felt it motivated to think they wanted said dark and angry movies. If they only learned to be careful what they wished for...... Anyway, this movie features a young Jack Slater fan attending a special screening of Jack Slater IV when the ticket he's given uses its "magic" to cause a stick of dynamite from the movie and one of its pivotal action scenes come out of the big screen and into the theater itself, blowing said fan into the movie. Thus, he has to try to find a way out but will discover the world of Jack Slater inside and out before and if he can. Full of action, adventure and clichés being exploited in the action cop sub-genre, this movie is a blast despite some uneven writing in parts.

Overall quality and condition is superb ...
Overall quality and condition is superb on the slipsleeve cover and tape at a very reasonable pride. Although I hadn’t been made aware of the Universal logo to be peeled off before purchase I’m not deterred by it, I’m still very much satisfied with it’s overall appearance nonetheless.
