I LOVE THESE GREAT CHRISTMAS SONGS!

Love the Carpenters music!

I have been wanting this album of Holiday and Christmas songs by Karen Carpenter for years and finally got my own copy. It is great!
Karen Carpenter's Christmas Album has become a Christmas/Holiday Classic. She has a unique and very personal way of singing (style) that makes the listener feel as though she is only singing to him or her. Then, she uses her voice to sing all of the classics! We lost a great performer when she died what some would call a needless death. Fortunately, we are able to hear these classics sung by a very talented performer. Classic Christmas Carols with Karen Carpenter Singing
I bought this CD to replace one that became lost. I liked the original so much that I wanted the exact same CD as a replacement. These Christmas renditions, as performed by the Carpenters, provide an excellent soft listening experience. The selections are great and even include a couple of instrumental offerings. A Nearly Perfect Christmas Album
Why nearly perfect? Let's start with the great: Nowhere was Karen Carpenter's beautiful, otherworldly vocal talent more at home than when she sang traditional Christmas songs and carols, and she delivered 100% on this album. Her performances rank with the best singers who ever sang Christmas songs, and she was the only singer of her generation to ever reach that level. The not-so-great: The less Richard Carpenter, the closer to perfect this album would have been. I don't know whether or not his presence on the album was a function of Karen (or someone) wanting to give him equal time or his own need for ego gratification, but it's clear that his talent never came close to that of his gifted sister. Meaningful And Enjoyable!
