Product Information

Sonic the Hedgehog 2 follows in the same speedy footsteps as its well-regarded predecessor, Sonic the Hedgehog. Once again, players run, jump, and spin the blue hedgehog through a bizarre world of metal robots created by Dr. Robotnik, avoiding obstacles, trouncing enemies, and collecting rings and the elusive Chaos Emeralds (earning all seven emeralds turns Sonic into Super Sonic). While the basic action remains essentially the same, the levels are longer, the colors are brighter and more varied, all the zones are new, and the game introduces a new character: Tails the fox. In the standard game, Tails simply follows along, helping collect rings and defeating the occasional enemy, but he is a playable character in the special two-player split-screen race mode. Sonic the Hedgehog 2 also introduces a new move (the Spin Dash) and a new special stage: a challenging, pseudo-3D race through tubes to collect rings.

It works great
The game works really well I've beaten it three whole times already since I got it the other day 10.49 it wasn't bad I even tried it with Sonic and Knuckles and it works too so with that if you're looking forward to buy this just know that it will work really well

Sega Genesis as you remember it....fun
This review is belated because Covid kept my son away...it's what he grew up with and I wanted to surprise him. Finally got it hooked up this weekend, and It worked perfectly. I expected the original Sega Genesis, and that is what I got. Very happy with it.

It worked!
At first I was worried it wasn't going to work because everything else was functional, but after some cleaning in cartridge and system it worked!

My childhood game
So happy to get this. My dad bought my first console and little tv home and set the Sega and TV up i must have been 4 years old and that was the start of 23 years of love for gaming. So happy to get this back and all the memories that come with it. Then i went to the video store my first time and rented Jurassic Park which i could not get anywhere in lol.
