This 33 1/3 rpm version of the soundtrack are the cues as recorded by Vince and crew before edited for the television special, as well as a selection of alternate takes. Includes new expanded liner notes.

The Great Pumpkin has arrived!
The Great Pumpkin has arrived and brought this new Charlie Brown classic! This record just came out a few weeks ago and is already my new favorite soundtrack. The music is without sound effects, which makes a huge difference, and all the songs have a beginning, and an end. And you can hear each instrument, and a full beautiful sound from these recently discovered masters. This is the best version of a Vince Guaraldi soundtrack recording group, the VG sextet, now with a trumpet, guitar, and woodwind instrument added to the VG trio.
