From the pub rock-influenced sound of their 1978 debut album (which includes the hit single "Sultans Of Swing") to the slickly produced 1985 album Brothers In Arms ("Money For Nothing", "Walk Of Life") and their swan song On Every Street in 1991, this set spotlights the songwriting and guitar talents of Mark Knopfler and his Dire mates. Contains the albums: Dire Straits (1978), Communique (1979), Making Movies (1980), Love Over Gold (1982), Brothers In Arms (1985), and On Every Street (1991). All albums have been re-mastered, with all original artwork restored, the six albums are packed in a handsome box set slipcase.

    Excellent seller! Item quickly shipped and arrived promptly in well-packed box. Item just as described. Although it would be been cheaper to order directly from Rhino, my personal experience with Rhino's shipping has been so dreadful that I was OK with paying more. Thrice when Rhino had shipped from USA to Europe, the CD boxed set would get stuck in a holding pattern for over a month in a depot somewhere in NJ for no good reason before finally crossing the pond and even then to a different city!

    It was very well packaged and shipped fast. The only issue I have with the vinyl is the appearance. There is a tear in the plastic seal that’s very noticeable. For the price I was not expecting that. It was also not mentioned on the listing. Either way I’ll still buy from this seller

    Das Dire Straits Box Set umfasst alle 6 Studio Alben und ist Remastered und wird zu einem günstigen Preis angeboten. Darüber hinaus ist die Auflage streng limitiert. Kläre Kaufempfehlung.

    I recommend this collection to anyone that only has a 'best of' from Dire Straits - solid albums

    great collection. great sound. My favorite cd is 'Love Over Gold' - perfect album, but the rest of the albums are very strong too. Only thing to improve would be plastic jewel cases rather than cardboard sleeves, but for the price it is understandable - great value. Liner notes are there for all cds I recommend this collection to anyone that only has a best of from Dire Straits

    DIRE STRAITS The Studio Albums 1978-1991 6CD Box

    Awesome Dire Straits Box incl the 6 Studio Albums, all discs are housed in nice Mini LP CD covers. The sound is awesome, containing the 1996 Remaster by Bob Ludwig, which did an awesome job on The Rolling Stones Remasters.

    Dire Straits... I don’t know if there was the 5000 or 500 below on the right hand side but I want 1077 words and when I was done I could not submit it because it had a light gray instead of the blue and it never went through and I put a lot of time into this probably about 45 minutes to an hour just put the right words in and it is now gone and I’m not going to do these anymore because I just don’t want to put anything down and I’m just going to buy the albums and that will be all a shame.

    Great sound, great price.

    Awesome 6 cd set. Any fan of Dire Straits or Mark Knopfler will appreciate this collection. Extra added bonus imho, you cannot beat the price for 6 cd's of this quality.
