Marin is a 13 year-old girl who lives in a very poor section of Tokyo. When she finds herself the first victim of an attack by an evil alien robot known as a Monomakia, she is saved by a robot protector named Melan Blue. Subsequently, Melan Blue installs himself as Marin's full-time protector, causing a few problems for her at school.
