  • This movie is not the championship fight. It is a series of interviews.

Based on the title "Thrilla in Manila" I believed that this DVD would show the entire 14 rounds of the championship boxing match between Ali and Frazier. There is probably no more than five minutes of excerpts of the fight footage in this movie. What you get is the training regimen of Frazier, Ali's many ridicules of Frazier and interviews with boxing persona who know the fighters.

  • Documentary, not the actual fight.

I have purchased numerous fight DVD's and essentially they are all the same, in that they show the entire fight from just before the1st round until the end, with no commercial interference, and called by the original announcers, at ringside. This DVD is 25 minutes in length, with most of it geared toward numerous short interviews with a variety of individuals in the fight game, and Joe Frazier himself, who of which give their views of the fight. There are very brief moments/highlights of the fight itself. This in my opinion its nothing more than a short documentary about the fight.
