    Great help for Bible study

    Even though this publication is very old it remains relevant. My purchase was a new printing and was in very good condition. Studying the Bible can be confusing and these volumes contain help with explaining difficult passages. Highly recommended for serious students.

    Again, must have commentary whether for Pastors, Bible class leaders or simply someone who is very serious about God's Word.

    Full six volume set. Excellent...not very good or good, but excellent condition! I'm very pleased. This is a must have commentary and I teach a Bible class so it's a wonderful resource for me. I've previously owned an abridged one volume version with small typeset, as a I recall. This is a great improvement to what I used to own.

    So much great info, but

    The print is tiny & hard to read for aging eyes. I wish more than anything I knew of this set many years ago. Reading this you have no choice but to mature with knowledge.

    My opinion this is one of the best of the.commentary books

    I originally bought the Matthew Henry Concise commentary book and I was dissapointed. The concise version seemed too abridged and way more modern wording. I'm a new Christian so I want to learn as much and as thoroughly as I can. There are many excellent commentary books but Matthew Henry is the primo of excellence to me. His writing is very clear, his explanations are thorough and understandable for modern readers. The books unlike some other commentary books are divided into separate books of OT & NT. Each book has the verse followed by the explanation.

    Buyer Beware!

    Matthew Henry's commentaries remain one of the best resources available. However, the print is very small. I downloaded the material onto my Kindle where I can control the font size. I would be willing to pay double the price for a ten volume set if the font size could be enlarged.
