They work great in a FreeBSD 14.1 system with ZFS on a bunch of connected SAS drives. The RAID functions on the card are not used with ZFS and is easy to disable on the adapter's own BIOS setup program. I used the driver that FreeBSD automatically chooses when it detects the HBA. I don't know if the power management capabilities of this HBA can be used with ZFS but I will endeavour to find out.

I came to the conclusion the power cord supplied was faulty. The seller immediately sent out a brand new replacement cord. This seller has my utmost respect & is reputable.
