I would buy this again and may get a back up cause if this broke on a gig I would weep openely.
I play a Taylor with the old expression system and a Yamaha nylon silent guitar. It helps the Taylor sound better and makes the Yamaha a new guitar. One thing is that if I unplug my board it will not have amp on when I turn it on. I must turn it on as soon as I hear my guitar because I know something is missing. I LOVE the Reverb. I do not use a ton, but this is as good as reverb as I have heard for acoustic in twenty years. If the pedal only did the reverb, it might be worth it. I do not use the IR, I have not found a setting I like but the pedal AMP and REVERB give me everything I need. I wish it were battery powered but it's not a pizza and therefore can please everybody. Holds it's own
It is a very good pedal and at a great price. Is it as good as the competition? Honestly I am not sure as I have yet to make my own IR but the loaded 24 bit IR's sound pretty good and the preamp is very malleable plus it has a very decent reverb. I am glad I gave the NUX Optima a go before I spent two to three times more on the others. This pedal exceeded my expectations for sure. Blending is essential to get the most of of the pedal's offerings. Only thing I did notice is it did not really work well with my Godin A6 Ultra but worked great with my Martin and my Art and Luthier 12 string. For best results use the XLR out. I look forward to creating my own IR's in the near future but even without this feature it is a good buy. It is a very good pedal and at a great price. Is it as good as the competition? Finally a way to get a mic'ed acoustic guitar sound with a Piezo, Magnetic, or Electric guitar pick up's! The models for each type of pick up can be fine tuned to be very close to your guitar natural tone. Then you can actually make an IR of your guitar with a not included mic and mic pre amp, should you decide to go that route. So far, I have not made an IR. I'm very satisfied with the tone I'm getting with one of the models. The pre amp has EQ and reverve too. Just a very nice pedal. I highly recommend it!Finally a way to get a mic'ed acoustic guitar sound with a Piezo, Magnetic, or Electric guitar pick up's!
