One of my horses suffered what appear to be wire cuts on his hind leg while I was out of town. Both developed proud flesh. Bought this product and have to say it is phenomenal. Usually vets will cut off proud flesh but this product removed it without incurring any vet bill or the use of a scalpel. It goes on as a gray paste and is virtually water-proof. It takes multiple applications over 10-14 days but completely removed the proud flesh and kept the wounds infection free.

A Horse Owner Supply Staple! Buy it! It works!!!
Excellent for wounds! Using it going on 8 years now. My horse has an old healed wound (from before I had her) that loses hair coverage after the spring shedding season. The flies like to pick at it no matter how much fly spray I apply. The picking opens it up to flesh and then the wasps are attracted. To break that cycle every year I pack it with this Equaide Solution. It keeps them off that one little spot for a month or more. Otherwise they would get in and open the old site. Use it on all my horses minor wounds since owning her and everything heals rapidly and perfectly without hair loss. Best product ever!!! The Vet is always impressed with the wound healing achieved. Equaide Trial size - Tiny container
The product itself works good to make a fast “scab-like” layer of protection. Unfortunately the container was so small it treated my horses large degloving wound twice. If I could do it again I would just buy the larger container. The trial size would be perfect for treating a smaller diameter wound numerous times.

I recommend all horse owners to have some on hand! Great product
Works well, my POA mare had a quarter size cut on her hind leg, it started to heal but a silver dollar size chunk of proud flesh grew to about a half inch thick. I thought there was no hope. I found Equaide and read it’s reviews so I ordered a 2oz.jar. I applied to the injury and 24 hours after the first application I pulled off the bandages and the ugly was gone. Equaide works miracles! This stuff is amazing on proud flesh, my big boy Chance had proud flesh setting in bad, and just one use of this over night made a huge change in his wounds, I couldn't believe the change in it the next morning when i unwrapped his leg for his daily wound change. AMAZING how well it works. I ordered more as his wound is so large that one little jar does not last but a few days, not weeks, but so worth it. Proud Flesh is almost imposable to get rid of once you have let it get to far with out the vet cutting it off. I have tried lots of items that says that it works but does not work! This product actually does work as described.
