    Program Friendly

    I love my POD XT!!! Why? firstly, it is Model-Pack friendly: FX Junky is a good way to expand your tonal landscape. A little thoughtful tweaking can produce some pretty amazing tones. Crank this into a good amp/cab set-up and WOW!! It does require some time to reduce fizz and mush on the higher gain settings. I found reducing the bass and treble settings allows the gain controls to breathe; alittle goes a long way/less is more kinda thing. Also great for headphone practice. I have a very dreamy Holdsworth clean sound and then a pretty good Holdsy lead sound; also a min imoog Jan Hammer-esque lead sound that is very fun...and some other synth sounds that i enjoy (the tracking is no latency and pretty fast if you play monophonically precise). Also, the XT is capable of some fat metal chunk ...

    AMAZING flexibility

    It is easy to use. The presets are great, but fine tuning is a breeze and you can do it without a computer...old school! I have even increased part of an effect on the fly; during the set! I highly recommend this option. I also like the pedal. It is a real throw pedal you can feel. 100% happy, wish i had gotten it sooner! This model is not supported well on the website...I guess too outdated, however the user forum (if you can figure it out) offers more sounds than your memory will hold. Mine belonged to a great player, so some of his sounds have suited me. I am especially impressed with the Twin Reverb amp model. It is the closest i have ever heard.

    sounds are great, love it.

    I use this for great sounds while I travel. I use the rack mount POD XT Pro with a Carvin Tube 100 Stereo Power Amp into 2 Marshall 4X12 Cabs at home. However, all of the sounds that I have modified and saved I upload to Line 6 Monkey and with a simple cable I have the same sounds in both units. You really can't beat the quality and value of Line 6 Products.

    Great for Home Studios

    Great for Home Studios. I use it for recording at the house, haven't tried a "live" setup yet. Not having a "real" studio, I can get high quality guitar tracks recorded without having to worry about mics and cables etc. Also not having a sound proof booth, I don't have to worry about unwanted noise and poor room effects. The amp modeling is superb for what I do. I like being able to "dial in" an SRV or Pete Anderson sound as needed for a song. I have an old Fender Twin Reverb I use on stage and the PODxt models it almost exact. Cuts down on the hassle when I want to lay a few guitar tracks.

    World class Engineering

    The Wizards at Line 6 got it right with Pod XT. The variety of amp and cabinet options combined with infinite echo and reverb selection lets me simulate the grandeur of a JCM 900 in a empty Gothic cathedral or the sharp attack of a Super Reverb in the Men's room at Penn Station. I can catalog pre-sets song by song for my gigs and only adjust 1 knob between songs (during the thunderous applause obviously ) for maximum effect. Thank you Line 6!
