Loft between the layers is about 3/16" thick and the dies are very colorful. The bedspread I ordered was a California King to go on a queen size bed so there is plenty of coverage. This seller packed it really well and was bagged in a clear plastic zippered bag so no water or dirt infiltrated. This is an excellent value and I am very pleased with this bedspread. 10/10
