      USEABLE AFTER REPAIR WITH PARTS FROM MY REMOVED HARNESS

      After laying the solenoid out, inspecting and testing individual solenoids for function I found the following: One of the solenoids had a fairly large chip out of one end below the seals, several other solenoids seals were either damaged or missing, and one solenoid attachment "clip" was damaged as it looked like it had been removed with a pair of pliers rather than just disconnecting it. Bottom line: this item was subjected to some pretty rough treatment when it was removed from it's original transmission. I was able to bring this up to useable condition with the parts off the old unit that were good. Not impressed but was able to "make due" with it. The price compared to a new OEM setup made the mcgivering to make it useable made this purchase acceptable. The description should have ...

      Not for the faint of heart; but best value around

      First of all, the price is a market-beater. You just aren't going to find a better deal. Second, the shipping was amazing. They called the night before to arrange a delivery window, and it was less than a week from order placement. Finally, we just took the car on its test drive after completing the "transmission transplant" in our garage. Shifts like brand new, no more bearing screaming...works great. We could not be more pleased. I will say this is not a project for a beginner. But if you have solid mechanical background and great instincts, plus an extra helper for getting the old tran out and the new one in, this is a great way to go. Hints: Actually read the listing carefully to see what you need to move over from your old trans to the one you just bought. We failed to move the ...

      Looked like new

      Was a little concerned about using a JDM trans since I couldn't find much out there on successful swaps. These guys indicated what part number it swapped for so I decided to try. It arrived quickly without issue and looked like new. No damage in the 10,000 mile trip! Bolted up perfectly, only needed to re-use the shift cable clamp from the original. Don't forget to add all fluids as it was thoroughly drained before shipping. Good experience overall. Had the car back on the road in short order.
