    Thick volume, dense with comprehensive information, but clear and easy to follow.

    Seller was excellent - shipping for this item was very fast, and the book was well wrapped. My mother owned a copy of this book when I was a child, and I was fascinated by the pictures, which are still beautiful. So while this was a nostalgia fueled purchase, the adult in me is grateful for the detailed and encyclopedic knowledge documented inside. Not only will it help me become a better baker, but I'm confident it will help me take on the more challenging recipes I never would have attempted before.

    How to cook, PLUS recipes

    Great book! I love cookbooks that teach you how to cook in addition to giving you the recipes. Some are only recipes, but this one has a great educational component to it.

    While it would be better to have bought the 35th anniversary edition, this book meets I need I look forward to improving my cake baking skills! It's a wonderful read, too!

    Turn the Radio Onnnnnnn!!

    Heard about this book on Splendid Table, in the car on the way home from church!! Came home and got on eBay.... Bid on three different copies to try to win ONE, and got all three!! One copy has already become a treasured gift for someone who's impossible to buy for ---- SCORE!!! Second one is waiting for a similar home. And the third is mine-all-mine! It's like a Magic 8 Ball.
