The Canon EOS 700D is an Easy-to-Use, Entry-level Digital SLR Camera with High Quality Movie and Full HD Photo Functions. The incredible image quality and performance starts with an 18.0 Megapixel CMOS (APS-C) sensor and DIGIC 5 Image Processor. Combined with an extensive ISO range of 100-12800 (expandable to 25600 in H mode), the EOS 700D boasts crisp, detailed images, even in low-light situations. A continuous shooting speed of up to 5.0 fps allows for fast action capture. 9 cross-type AF focus points help ensure crisp focus throughout the frame, and the Hybrid CMOS AF system enables speedy and accurate autofocus when shooting in Live View mode. In addition, the camera is compatible with STM lenses to achieve high quality Full HD (1920 x 1080) EOS movies for smooth, quiet AF performance.

Great features and amazing entry-level DSLR.
This is an entry-level DSLR from Canon. It's really easy to use, and comes with lots of great features to help you develop (sorry, couldn't help it) as a photographer. The flip-out screen really helps you understand what you've taken and how the camera works. My only complaint is that only comes in a right-handed version. As a lefty, I have to learn a whole new set of skills on top of learning how to operate the camera itself.

Used this camera for a few weeks now what can I say ? Easy to use light weight has a really good grip, the screen easy viewing great camera all round deffo would recommend one

To the point.
Set it to auto for very easy still and HD video. Set it to manual and you will have more settings than even a pro will need. Standard 18-55 lens is a good compliment to start with. May be a model that is a few years old now, but is well up to the job. First camera I ever had where I am considering investing in better lenses for wildlife stuff

This camera is one of the best purchases I have made. I jumped straight in without reading the instructions and it was super easy to use. After only a couple weeks I can confidently take pictures in the manual mode. The settings are easy to tweak and the kit lens it comes with is great for the price. You can take some incredible professional photos with this camera. The touch screen is swivel out and it's brilliant. Great camera, would reccomend to any photographer.

A lovely camera and lens set.
I bought this camera with a view to gaining more experience with the basics of picture taking, my choice was the right one. The whole package was in good condition and everything worked the way it should. The lenses showed wear as described but nothing detracted from the image at all, clear and bright in both manual and AF, it has been a joy to use and I can see many years of photography ahead of me.

Great DSLR camera.
Great DSLR camera especially with the touch screen adjustable LCD monitor. Great for taking photos of small plants low to the ground if you can't get yourself right down there. Comes with the 388 page manual which is taking a while to get through. It helps to have someone to give you tips and advice if this is your first digital SLR camera but you can still get some great shots even if you only stick to the auto settings. It can do so much though if you want to get creative.

Good value multipurpose lens
Very good value for money, huge focal length range but softernaroumd the edges when zoomed and has chromatic aberrations. Sharpest at f.8

Magic Lantern really makes it perfect
Great camera, especially if you add Magic Lantern which allows video recording to re-start automatically and gives many other must-have features
