Great Purchase Easy to Use
Hi; we just love this device for months my wife was attempting to convince me to discard our 10 year old Bose Sound Docks because comprehensive technology no longer allowed for them to be used with modern devices without pricy clumber some cords which when wanting to even adjust the volume you had to traverse the entire room to do so. So there I am on EBay and I see this Bluetooth Adapter and read the specs - when it arrives it's a simple set up with no difficulty pairing it to our phones. We love it. I dug out of the closet our other Sound Dock which has been returned to the living room end table and we will be ordering a Bluetooth Adapter for that one as well. Resurrected my Bose SoundDock 1!
My SoundDock has been sitting in the closet for a few years now. It still sounds great, but with the advent of smartphones and bluetooth speakers it was just a bit too much of a hassle, what with hooking up the ipod and all, to be my go to for listening to my music anymore. I heard that there was a new type of bluetooth adapter that would connect my phone to the SoundDock, and I had to give it a try. And boy am I glad I did! It paired easily with my LG G3, and very quickly I was listening to some very good quality sound. Now it is not quite as loud as with the ipod, but that is how it is with any bluetooth device I've used, but it still cranks! The CoolStream Adapter has brought new life back to my SoundDock, and now it sits in my kitchen, with no chance of being in the closet for some time to come. Well worth the price to stream to that old still awesome Bose Sounddock
So I connect this to my Bose Sounddock Series 1 original and now I'm streaming Pandora, music mp3s and anything that goes through the Bluetooth of my phone. With a background equalizer app running in the background it's amazing and this makes it all possible. Suddenly the value of my Sounddock has gone to awesome. I won't need to but there's that 3.5mm input jack port incase you have a non Bluetooth device you want to playback to the dock, how awesome is that? The only function I noticed I don't have is the skip song function of the Bose original remote but then who cares I'm walkin around with my phone on me fully in control. Modernized My Bose System !
I have a Bose iPod dock. My iPhone 4 fit this dock so my music sounded really Great! However, updated phones do not have 30 pins which made my Bose outdated nod almost obsolete. Life saver!
I have a 2012 suzuki kizashi and it was frustrating that the double din kenwood radio has blutooth but it only works for incoming and outgoing calls. Not for media sound. This little gadget installs to the 30 pin connector in the globe box compartment and its plug and play. It charges it self while you listen to your tunes! I must have gone through at least 10 audio cables before finding this gadget! Thank you so much. CoolStream 30-Pin Bluetooth Adapter
This one little device has breathed new life into an early Bose SoundDock and not only returned it to daily use for me, but also for the rest of my family with assorted Bluetooth devices as well! It does this not only with the Bluetooth 30-pin adapter (the only way to get sound into the speaker), but also with its own built-in rechargeable power supply that can charge from the older 12 volt as well as the current 5 volt Apple charging devices --seamlessly! Because it includes the battery in its small housing, it keeps a low profile, unlike many other less expensive Bluetooth adapters on the market that require an additional device to provide power...and don't specify that clearly in their descriptions. The range is quite good, playing sources wirelessly and cleanly as far away as the next room -- more than enough for my purposes. It would be nice to have a white colored version that would blend better with the white Bose SoundDocks, but that's a minor quibble. The best thing about this is that it works as intended, and does the job the first time, with instructions that are intuitive and easy to remember. Get this one device and be done with it! Bluetooth from obsolete 30 pin port

I own three now.
