Eye opening reality of the Bible book of Genesis
R. Crumb has done a great job of putting in simple but accurate terms the telling and viewing of the book of Genesis in the Bible. Very eye opening since he takes the reader beyond the drudgery of reading 'begats who" and shows us the meat of the scriptures. A very telling book. To be honest with you this book will take you into a very new and compelling view of the Bible. And the people who are our ancestors. Do not be so hard a judge of the people who lived in those days many thousands of years ago - but his telling will open your eyes. Adaption graphic novel misses the mark
Interesting book. The great piece in the book is the word of God as it is written. All of the other stuff in the book is not very good. Poor adaption of a theme so profound. The illustration is lacking and I am not really sure that the illustration should be so vile and repulsive. I had higher expectations of the book that have not been realized here. Crumb's Genesis
Robert Crumb is an excellent artist. His drawings make this book of the Bible (Genesis), an enjoyable read. He pays homage to the Three Stooges in a certain passage thereof.
