Lionel milk cars are easier to get working
These are 70-yr-old cars so they expectedly took a bit of cleaning and tuning. The 3462 is great fun. The 3454 is difficult to make work and resources are few. I'm still waiting for donor parts for the merchandise car, but milk cans are popping out freely from the milk car.

needed spares
The 3454 Automatic Merchandise Car parts helped get another 3454 back into service, plus adding a spare truck to my supply of stand-by parts for future repairs. This was certainly a useful purchase for The Train Surgeon's repair-and-restoration corner.

Wonderful to find merchandise car with only the hatch door missing .It shows the quality that Lionel produced .still able to bring joy to its owner !!
