  • Nourishing Reading!

    This book not only gives insight into how our ancestors all over the world prepared their foods but it also tells you how those foods shaped their cultures physically and socially. Vegan, Paleo, Carnivore, and everything in between- it's not so much what we do and do not eat but how those things are prepared. Ridding your diet of dyes, preservatives, and overly processed foods is a great first step. What Nourishing Traditions then shows is how to pickle, ferment, soak, sprout, and prepare those foods so that you get the most nutrition out of them.

  • A cookbook based on Nutrition

    Compelling book. Highly recommended. Has excellent real food recipes full of nutrition. Today most our food is processed and most of the current recipes used processed ingredients and most have next-to-no natural nutrition: meaning our body is starving while getting fat or being sub-optimal. We crave real food and since post-WWII real food keeps getting harder to find. Even the real food out there is less nutritious than it was, due to farming practices and processing/packaging food. This book gives some real food options and promotes real nutrition that fuels our body. I wish I found this when it was first published--I would have skipped the varied proposed improved health systems out there and gone with Nourishing Traditions and re-gained health with tried-and-true food from my grand-parents and great-grand-parents time. I have more energy already and am looking forward to many health improvements.

    This book literally changed my life! My husband and I have healed several health conditions (including high blood pressure, anxiety, lumbar radiculopathy, and more) following the dietary and lifestyle principles outlined in this book and by the Weston A. Price Foundation. The body can heal itself if it is given the proper tools/nutrition. We are living proof. Highly recommend this book and the Weston A Price Foundation.

  • Learning Nutritional Eating

    Contains alot of recipes that I will never make. No pictures. Abundant reading material that I have yet to read. I am sure it is informative and beneficial, I've yet to take a closer look at it. This book was recommended by a Homestead Homie. Looks like something I will have to study and incorporate into my life. Very informative with over 600 pagses!
