BIRD ON A WIRE: Happy-go-lucky hairdresser Rick Jarmin (Mel Gibson) did a good turn fifteen years ago when he gave the government a much-needed testimony in a court case that put a dangerous drug dealer behind bars. The Witness Protection Program kept up its side of the bargain, moving him around over the years and hiding his identity. Now they have him working in a Detroit gas station, but his cover is blown when a former girlfriend, Marianne Graves (Goldie Hawn), discovers Rick at about the same time that the now-released, and very angry, drug dealer has caught up to him. In the ensuing shootout, Rick and Marianne barely escape with their lives. Now the former lovers must flee together; on the run, they rediscover their shared past as they desperately try to keep one step ahead of the killers. Twice the fun
Two great comedy movies together. Bird on A Wire is a great movie with the story line of old flames running into each other after years apart due to Rick being in the witness protection program and it gets funny and crazy from there. They have great chemistry together. The Cowboy Way is soooo funny due to Woody Harrelson mostly. He is at his prime in this. Two New Mexico cowboys looking for their friend who has went to New York to get his daughter and then disapears. They go looking for him and his daughter and run into a bunch of trouble and laughs. I saw this when it came out at the movie theater and it was great. Nice to see both again in one great purchase. If you havent seen these it's so worth it.
