Set in Victorian-era London, BRAMWELL is a drama about a female doctor struggling to gain acceptance in a male dominated profession. Jemma Redgrave stars as Dr. Eleanor Bramwell, who tries to climb the career ladder to become a leading surgeon and meets strong resistance along the way. Bucking traditions, Eleanor defies her father's (David Calder) wishes that she join him in his private practice, and instead focuses on her own dreams. Highly recommend for a good box set binge.
Good story line, interesting development of the issues. Some very good acting. I did get a bit bored towards the end.

BRILLIANT BRAMWELL
This was and still is a wonderful series. I loved it when it was first shown and I equally find it brilliant on the second viewing. I wish they would make more series like this as the standard was very high.
