Latest and prettiest version of Hornby J83
This is the latest version of the Hornby J83, the typical 0-6-0 pre-grouping tank loco. This version has full lining, brake gear, guard irons, and fully-flanged centre wheels. The motor drives on the centre wheels, and leaves both the front under-boiler and cab free of motor, although because of its age, the body moulding doesn't take advantage of either of these! But you could, without having to attack the chassis first. The rear axle is sprung to improve pick-up, and the coupling rods are jointed to allow for this.

Just a few teething problems , wouldn't run at first but oiled the axells cleaned the wheels . Running now not 100 pc but she is an old lady .
