bagart & bacall!!!
have been rationing these movies for use only when the need for engrossing escape vehicles can no longer be denied, and when that vehicle must involve the mysterious or murderous intrigue. what a splendid set! restoration renders the films a brand-new quality in addition to the skillful spinning of yarns. the sets are believable, the editing tight, costumes solid for the period, and then there's the fabulous leading duo! have waited decades to have & see a fresh copy of these films, and it appears they were well worth the wait!

Bacall, good or mediocre?
I ordered this DVD upon reading a dated issue of Sight and Sound magazine (British) which had an article about Bacall's acting abilities and depth of character in her later movies. In essence it said shy of two of the performances on this DVD, in her early career, she had little depth of character in the movies she stared in and was not up to the reputation she had as an actor. A well written article and concurrent upon her death actually, which is most likely why it was chosen for print. Given the nature of the article I thought "lets find a source for the movies and watch them". I did! I enjoyed them all, were the depth of character in them varied, of course they were, different directors and different styles by different DPs.........some better, some not as great, but for the period, don't forget this was the cusp of going on local for Hollywood, they were very entertaining. So much for pontificating movie reviewers, I've never found them to be spot on anyway. In fact, I always figured they are either jealous want to be talents that could not hack it, or too lazy to have worked their way up the ladder of the many production jobs that lead to being a director. Just my opinion mind you but if you like film noire and early film noire to boot, these are a good way to tune the world of today out, even if just for a few short hours.

Bogie and Bacall
All of their movies together in one set. Magnetic screen chemistry at its finest. 3 classic great american films and one pretty good melodrama. Great support from Eddie G. Robinson and Walter Brennan, etc I'd rather watch movies like these over and over again than just about any more recent films. Trying to write a review for this product as per your request Ebay and you won't let it be submitted. It contains no profanity, etc. despite your pop-up warning that keeps occurring everytime I try to post a simple review. Why is ebay so glitchy?

Bogart and Bacall
I have always enjoyed watching classic movies. And they don't come any better than Bogart and Bacall. They were both great actors and made a wonderful pairing on screen. I recommend to anyone who enjoys acting at it's best to watch these classics.

Movies were great!
They had all the dvds in one slot. I had to buy a pack of dvd holders to appropriately store each one.
