Led by the handsome but disdainful Hayate, the knights inform Himeno that she is a magical being with the power to help them battle the evil Princess of Disaster, who is spreading demon larvae in an effort to destroy the world's life force. Eschewing the genre's typical cutesiness for truly innovative storytelling bolstered by gorgeous animation and exciting action sequences, PRETEAR is the rare magical-girl anime that appeals to both male and female viewers. Great Anime
Love this anime. The animation isn't breathtaking but there are several moments of pretty backgrounds and all the feels you expect from anime like this. I grew up watching this so nostalgia hits hard on this for me. But honeslty the writing - english voice acting/translation is one of the best in my opinion when it comes to anime. You can tell the writers really worked to have the script make sense and be compelling in a narrrative way - and as a lover of words and how they are convenyed I deeply apperciate this! The anime is also so sweet and I literally always finish it in 2-3 days. Honeslty makes me wish there was more anime of this quality the hunt continues. Fun colorful characters while also exploring some difficult topics.
This was a unique storyline, great voice actors, colorful characters and beautiful animation. It does has some fun with the magical girl type anime but also explores some dark aspects of depression, loss and loneliness. This Pretear collection is the best if you're looking for fantasy anime. This has romance, comedy, and lots of action to enjoy time and time again. Rarity
It isn't often that harem anime is flipped, with one girl and a lot of guys. This one is excellent, having the guys as magical knights protecting the girl. The story had some unexpected twists and decent depth. A great ending, that isn't overly saccharine, that built up with good comedy and heart.
