Vortex has been making high quality riflescopes for over 10 years right here in the USA. The Diamondback 4-12x40 can be excellent for long range shooting of any kind. It can be good for big game hunting or a day at the local target range. It has a solid one piece construction made from an aircraft grade aluminum alloy that can make it practically indestructible. The Precision-Force Spring System construction of the Vortex 4-12x40 makes it highly resistant to magnum recoil. The Vortex 4-12x can have the performance features gun enthusiasts are looking for in a riflescope. The Diamondback has 95 % light transmission using multi-coated optics that can give clear, sharp images in most lighting conditions. The fast focus eyepiece can make for easy reticle dead hold BDC focusing under the worst circumstances. For parallax adjustment, the Diamondback has an easy to reach knob that can allow the user to obtain better focus. Range numbers can be visible from any firing position, allowing you to adjust the sight on your rifle better. The Vortex Diamondback has a field of view of 32.4-11.3 feet/100 yards. Graduate adjustments of 1/4 MOA are incorporated. MOA is a mathematical concept critical when you are sighting in the magnification of your scope. Travel is 15, elevation adjustment 60, and windage adjustment 60. These specifications are important to any dead hold enthusiast. There are numerous accessories available for this model as well. Among the many accessories offered is flip cap optical covers, fog free lens cleaning kits, and torque wrench mounting kits. Having a few of these useful accessories can add to the enjoyment of gun ownership. You can use this unit in any weather condition. The unit is 100 % waterproof and utilizes the Precision-Glide Erector System. This system guards against corrosion, temperature change, and stress cracking.     Nice scope for my CZ 512 tactical 22WMR

    Purchased this Vortex Diamondback 4-12X40 scope for my CZ 512 tactical 22WMR rifle I recently purchased. The scope looks to be high quality and has very clear glass. The matte finish looks excellent. I would definitely recommend this scope to anyone looking for a good quality scope at a reasonable price. I actually liked the Vortex brand enough to buy a second Vortex optic. Don’t forget the awesome warranty that Vortex offers! Highly recommended👍🏻

    Great scope -

    I have this on a CZ full stock 22 long rifle and it was a good choice -- very clear glass, the adjustments are very exact and easy, of course on a 22 there is no recoil so I can not comment on that but this is just the newest of several Vortex scopes I own so it shows the quality I've come to expect from this brand name. I would highly recommend this rifle scope --- John H

    Clear scope.

    Mounted vortex diamond back on model 200 Stevens .243 rifle. Bore sighted and after adjusting windage and elevation I was shooting 1.20 groups of 5 shots. Probably can do better with more practice and break in gun more,it's brand new. Very nice clear scope.

    Only Vortex for me!

    I have owned different brands over the years but currently own only Vortex products! Their warranty is outstanding. I have a spotting scope, tripod, binoculars and all of my rifles have Vortex scopes installed. This scope replaced the weaver that came on the 350 legend. The weaver is not even comparable to the Vortex. I have diamondback 4-12x40 scopes on 4 rifles now.

    Awesome scope

    I would expect no less from Vortex! This is my 7th optic from Vortex. And no it's not brand loyalty, it's the fact that they simply have the best optics for the $ out there right now. I do own several other much, much more expensive scopes,but I wouldn't say they are any better. Crystal clear glass, rock solid construction, great adjustments, holds zero, and no questions lifetime warranty. If you are considering this or any other vortex optic you will be very happy with your purchase, and the money that is still in your pocket. I highly recommend.
