Understand what you are purchasing
This product is for use in combination with the PlayTV hardware, which connects to the PS3 via USB. I purchased the standalone disc because I already had the HW but not the SW to use it. Do not buy unless you are in the same situation as me or unless you purchase the complete hardware+software kit.
