    latest versions are cheaply made

    ive enjoyed my copy for awhile so i went to buy a copy for a gift. i was dissapointed to find that the latest print (the one with the mostly white background on the cover) was made with inferior quality stock for the cover; it is thinner, feels cheap. also, there used to be a convenient printed ruler on the back cover so u could measure plant parts. but it is gone and just replaced by the cheap card stock of the blank back cover. i guess they are trying to cut corners to make more money but i can tell the newer version wont last for years of use like my original one did. a field guide should be made of quality materials to withstand actually taking it into the field. so instead of me buying other petersons field guides for gifts, ive already started purchasing other companies field guides ...

    "Peterson's Field Guide to Edible Wild Plants", may be a very valuable resouce book to have.

    The book has the information I wanted. It is well organized. accurate, and easy to use as a reference. I did find it to be interesting, even compelling reading. I only wish it had more colored photographs. A very good value for the money. Glad I ordered it.

    Educational

    This book has very clear and decisive writing. Is also very educational on what to look for in the wild. If people are looking for information about living off grid or just living off of what nature has to deliver this book is excellent and will help people learn what is needed for the experience. Two thumbs up on the description and photos and demonstrations.

    Field Identification

    Great book! I'm all about reference books and I use this book often!!! I often find, just thumbing through it, I identify things I remember seeing on my walks that I saw here and there! If your a forager or nature enthusiast? Then this is a great book to have!!!

    Edible wild Plants ... Excellent Field Guide

    Since I am familiar with Field Guides, I feel that Peterson's is an excellent choice to have on hand. There may be better, but in my personal experience level, I feel most comfortable with this one by Peterson's. Enjoy, I sure do ... and learn.
