Myofacial Pain Sufferer Finally Got Her Books
Pros: informative, great resource
Cons: a bit technical
I have suffered from Myofascial pain for the past 25 years. I don't need a book to tell me where the trigger points are, because I feel them all over. But sometimes it's tricky as to which muscle is the real culprit. I have wanted these books for a long time and thrilled I got them at such a good price. I'm hoping to be able to ease some of my daily pain myself. I have found that your average trigger point release trained massage therapist is NOT ABLE to release these. They have desperately tried, but never succeeded on me. I have only found success with highly qualified people that do only the myofascial release techniques, followed with bio-feedback of muscles and the mechanics and exercise. During this treatment is where I found these books. However, these facilities are extremely expensive and usually require insurance, which I don't have. If I do nothing, I can control the pain somewhat, but I ALWAYS push myself too hard. No regular massage therapist has ever given me a true release of a trigger point, but the massages do help.
