Telling the story of a large family living on Walton's Mountain during the Great Depression, the series tackled universal themes that continue to ring true to this day. The start of World War II plunged the family into new dilemmas as, like the rest of the nation, they watched their children go to war. Told from the perspective of John Boy (Richard Thomas), an aspiring writer who makes his way through college and into adulthood, THE WALTONS is a timeless work of entertainment. This ninth and final season brings the Walton boys back to their homestead, to reunite the former soldiers with their loving family as they discover their own destinies in post-war America.

The most wholesome show ever created.
Waltons is a wholesome show. No cussing, no illicit sex, a little bit of faith, (I wish there was more). It takes you through a time in history when families had to pull together. It shows forgiveness, love and caring for one another, something our world really needs right now. I start my day by watching an episode. I have all nine seasons.

Shame on you for this misleading purchase!
Very bad viewing for what was advertised as Excellent! Movies that kept stopping before even done. Others skipping ahead of the current action, and other problems. We are very unhappy and we’re frustrated- now need to buy another to See how some of the movies ended!!! Never had problems with used videos with the Waltons. Sad to had this on the final season.

No longer enjoyable / wholesome for watching with kids or family.

Great program
It's great, I grew up with the Walton's, also my kids and my grandkids. What they put on TV anymore that's not fit, my kids and grandkids both love it and it's entertaining.
