Excellent!
Excellent background mood music. Many years ago, my dad had a Martin Denny LP. He played it constantly in the house. I really enjoyed it, makes me think of him. Makes one wish he/she were back on Waikiki.

Good exotic sound
This set falls in a category called exotica, of which Denny was said to be king. It should delight anyone drawn to anthropology and distant cultures. The liner notes are worth reading. They explain that the amazing bird calls were made by members of the band, particularly one native Hawaiian musician who said he could imitate bird sounds because of his love of birds from his childhood. I was surprised to learn they weren't recorded bird sounds. This atmospheric music falls in a category of its own. It would work as dance music, especially for Latin steps.
