Wonderful Movie. Watch it.
THE BEST FEATURE OF THE MOVIE: The story is altered in a way that gives MEANING and DEPTH to all the characters; two things that were missing in the original animated movie. Yes you could say the 3 good fairies in the original had "depth", but I put that in quotes because in reality they were just playing to cliche movie tropes that get featured in films when a trio stars as the main characters. With Maleficent as the main character, and with an actual backstory, we get to truly LEARN about her. All of her hopes and dreams, an understanding as to why she's so full of hatred, and the internal struggle she has between being evil, while still having good left in her heart. THE WORST FEATURE OF THE MOVIE: The one thing the original movie has over this film is the fact that it doesn't shy away from using harsher sounding words in the dialogue, such as "die", or "hell". The points being made in this film still get across, but there's always a slightly less than subtle effort to make it suitable for all ages, despite the PG rating, which is technically not for all ages. If I were the director, I would have preserved the vocabulary of the original completely. It could have added even more to an already rich atmosphere within the film. This one gripe is the ONLY reason why I give the movie 4 stars instead of 5. Other than that, the movie is PERFECT. Watch it!!Bestätigter Kauf: JaArtikelzustand: Gebraucht

Good movie, great effects.
If you're into this genre of movies, this ( and the sequel) is awesome. Nice take on the fairy tale and definitely different... Really good special effects and the CGI blends seamlessly throughout the movie.Bestätigter Kauf: JaArtikelzustand: Neu

Worth a watch with plenty of action and a happy ending. Very young children may find it intense but should enjoy it anyway.
Enjoyed the movie very much. I was expecting a different plot line that the one that came. Very nice. Maleficent has always been labeled as the "bad guy" but you learn to love her in this movie. A Modern Twist
An interesting, modern take on the animated classic of Sleeping Beauty! The plot is filled with feminist overtones. Angelina Jolie and Elle Fanning are true Disney characters. Interesting Twist on the original
From a different point of view, and more of the back story than the 1959 flick. Love both versions for vision of the story. The animated 59 version is very good on DVD but is spectacular on Blu Ray. This version is stellar on Blu.Bestätigter Kauf: JaArtikelzustand: Gebraucht

Interesting twist on a beloved fairy tale and a well known character.
This was a pretty cool movie. It is an Interesting retelling of the story of Sleeping Beauty from the POV of Malificent. How she went from guardian of her people to Evil Fairy to hero. It has a nice fresh take on the relationship between Aurora and Malificent and one of it's main messages is the strength of a love between an adoptive mother and daughter, as well as everyone has good and bad In them and that people can change, that love can change people. And not just romantic love. And did I mention the fact that Malificent has wings!? I think we would ALL love to have those wings. And the bonus features give wonderful insight to how this movie was made, from updating the fairy tale, looking at it from Malificent's POV, to the battles, even updating Malificent's costume. It also has some cool deleted scenes. If you grew up with the original animated Sleeping Beauty, or just love a good story with amazing messages, find this movie.Bestätigter Kauf: JaArtikelzustand: Gebraucht
