  • Coin collector's delight

This is the last issue of 90% silver content United States of America minted half dollars. 1964 was the final year of silver content for all US mint coins in circulation. That said, as a boy of 10 years on Nov 22 1963 when President Kennedy was shot and killed my birthday was the following day, Nov 23. My fellow Boy Scouts and I went to a park to fly kites, but all we did was stand around and look at each other as if the world was coming to an end, which of course it was. This coin was struck in memory of President John Fitzgerald Kennedy assassinated Nov 22, 1963. There are no more coins like this one. Buy all the Gem BU 1964 Kennedy halves you can find. They will never fall out of favor.

  • TONED COINS

A toned coin can be beautiful and can either enhance or distract its value. Bright, colorful, coins can bring a premium. While other coins that have an unsightly tone-color are actually less preferable. Bright rainbow colors are preferred and bring the highest premium. But, BUYER BEWARE! Many coins that appear to be toned are actually chemically or heat treated. Sometimes it is very obvious and other times it is even difficult for the professional to make a determination. Sometimes a seller may artificially tone a coin to cover defects. Such as fine scratches, blotches, water marks. Sometimes a coin is “dipped” in a cleaning solution. The cleaning will leave the coin in a dull condition. Artificial toning is then used to cover the defect. The best way to purchase toned coins are from sellers that have graded coins. Such as NGC or PCGS. Even then some sellers will attempt to “enhance” the colors of the coin by either filtered lighting or using software to change the coins appearance. Personally, I have sent coins back to sellers for blatantly doctoring the coins colors and then its value. Some sellers will oblige without any problems. While others are more difficult to deal with. I have found the majority of “toned” coins that aren’t graded are generally not genuine. These sellers are the most difficult to deal with. Since there wasn’t anywhere in the sales description that the toning is genuine. Ask for a guarantee from a seller that is selling un-graded toned coins. I doubt that you will receive one. FAKE CHINA COINS in NGC and PCGS type slab holders are also becoming a problem. It is well known that there are many high end coin counterfeits are coming out of China. Even top sellers are sometimes being fooled. There are many sites on the Internet that help identify genuine and counterfeit slabs. Be educated before purchasing any high end coins. Search the internet “Counterfeit PCGS or NGC Holders” SLAB IMITATORS! I have seen and received coins that appeared to be graded coins that are slabbed. The seller purchases empty slabs. Then they put in their own coins and print an official looking description. The description is always false. Generally indicating that the coin has a higher grade . . . And a higher value. I recently saw a circulated Roosevelt dime that was buffed brightly, slabbed in an imitation holder and the description was Proof 70. Unbelievable! SLAB SWAPPERS! I have personally received slabbed coins that were opened and the coin replaced with a lower grade coin. A few sellers had become masters at this practice. However, it is less prominent with the newer slabs. The new slabs are more difficult to open and glue back together. It is generally very evident at the seam on the sides. ***** I recommend dealing with a seller with a high positive feedback. And has return privileges. You may spend a little more. But, you will be spared the grief of having to deal with a inferior coin and unresponsive seller. /.

  • Stunning!

This is one the most beautiful Kennedy halves I've ever been able to say is "mine"! Upon opening the package, my heart -- literally -- was racing due to the stunning quality of this coin. I've always held a deep admiration for this coin -- the intricate design is simply gorgeous. This is one Kennedy that I will cherish for many years.

  • The 1964 Kennedy Half Dollar

This is a coin of great beauty and value, a very collectable coin that is highly sought after especially in AU to BU or better condition. Even the lesser gradable 1964 Kennedy's are worth buying and stacking as many as you can. This coin is an all time favorite and will be coveted by collectors for years to come. A definite must have in your collection, grab one or maybe a roll and enjoy the 90% silver content along with the historical value. These coins are already over 50 years old, you can still find many that look brand new, to own one is a win win for any collector.

  • Best modern era coin

I personally love the kennedy halfs. They have Great luster an almost everyone can identify it if they see it. Only one year of 90% silver but many are available. Great coins for any level of collector.

  • 1964 Kennedy half dollar

I bought two coins that said circulated. But after inspecting the reeds they look like BU. No wear at all on the reeds. The obverse and reverse show signs of years of storage in tunes with slight marks as coin bounce in the tube. Nice coins!

  • A sound investment in the future.

I have been using my disposable income on silver and gold. Saving money in a traditional bank seems difficult as unexpected expenses seem to drain it. Buying precious metals requires an extra step to get cash. It's perfect for me. This silver Kennedy is a step in that direction.

  • Nicely Toned Kennedy

I am partial to Kennedy half dollars with the President. The reverse is one of the best designs I have seen with the spread winged eagle. It is a royal coin displaying what I feel is the best of America. The coin I received is a very nice Kennedy Half with rainbow toning which makes the coin a gem to look at. Each time I view it there are different colors that show up. It is very entertaining and enjoyable. The Kennedy half is 90% silver which makes it a very collectible piece.

  • JFK half dollar

JFK was no saint, but he boosted the US Apollo Program, which is the only reason my countrymen possess electronic marvels: data phones, tablets/pads, laptop computers, desktop computers. These devices were not invented in China! USA scientists invented them. Oh, I did need to go to the bike shop and use Acetone to get the varnish off the face of JFK.
