This 56mm F1.2 lens features an 85mm focal length, offering exceptionally beautiful background bokeh. The Fujifilm Fujinon XF 56mm F/1/2-16 R Lens is Fujinon's version of an 85mm f/1.8 full format lens. This type of lens captures both the field of view and depth of field, something that previous large aperture portrait lenses were incapable of doing. The tightly assembled metal body based on a metal mount gives this Fujifilm camera a durable quality structure. In addition to a sturdy composition, the focus ring operates very smoothly. In past Fujinon lenses there was a focus clutch mechanism; however, this model functions smoothly without it. The lens has a dedicated aperture ring with a distinctive 1/3EV steps, which helps to focus when taking photographs. The Fujifilm Fujinon XF 56mm F/1/2-16 R lens has an increased auto-focus system. This system boosts the auto-focus speed, which allows for sharper more precise photos. The auto-focus also produces a low grain noise, meaning less pixelation. All of this adds up to making the Fujifilm Fujinon XF 56mm F/1/2-16 R lens a prime lens for photos you wish to enlarge. Enlarging photos from the Fujifilm Fujinon XF 56mm F/1/2-16 R lens is quite easy. With a weight of only 405 grams, the Fujifilm Fujinon XF 56mm F/1/2-16 R lens fits neatly into any camera bag and won't weigh you down on long photo shoots. Available in a standard black finish, this little Fuji packs a big punch. This lens has a terrific resolving power due to an optical design. This design offers 11 elements in eight different groups, including one double-sided aspherical element as well as two ED ones.     Finder is in great condition, but no thanks to the packaging. The finder was loose in the Nikon box with no cover on the prism and no cushioning, and the beat-up Nikon box was put in an outer box with one small air cushion that did nothing. Whoever packed the finder needs to be taken aside and shown how to pack camera equipment. It's amazing there was no damage. Finder is in good condition, the price was good, and shipping was quick.

    Great Portrait Lens

    This is an excellent lens for portrait photography. It performs well in all the lighting situations I’ve tried it in so far. It seems to be well built. The one thing—that I would necessarily consider a downside, but should be mentioned— is that this is a fixed lens. Anyone used to a zoom lens will have a bit of trouble at first, and will need to back up frequently to find the right shot. The glass in this thing makes up for the bit of extra work by producing beautifully crisp images.

    Love the Fujinon 56mm

    My sharpest prime that I have ever owned. great size, and professional. Maybe just a bit too expensive, but I think its the going rate of any good glass.

    Resolution, aperture and quality

    If you need a short telephoto or portrait lens for your Fuji X camera you should look no further. The 1.2 aperure and pleasant bokeh make this a must have. The size and weight are more than the shorter lenses but it is not awkward or comfortable

    Great lens at affordable price

    First thing, this lens is rather big and heavy, not like its smaller brother, XF 35mm/F1.4 but most of its weigh comes from the lens which are large. The autofocus with X-T10 is ok, not terrible, not exceptional. But image sharpness is quite great. Even at wide open (F1.2), it's sharp. Highly recommended for all fuji users.

    Phenomenal image quality

    The Fuji XF 56 mm f/1.2 lens is an amazing 85mm equivalent lens, perfect for portraits. I love the transition between sharp tack in-focus areas and the creamy bokeh in backgrounds. Focus is accurate and relatively fast, and though the lens is heavy it balances well on my Fuji X-T1 body.
