Jeff Paris is probably better known for his songwriting prowess since he basically wrote all of the material on Vixen's debut album and regularly contributed tracks to Mr. Big. Here is his own stab at mainstream commercial success that probably fell short of sales expectations. I personally blame that on whomever was responsible for choosing 'Saturday Nite' for the single released to radio and MTV. Although it's a good opening album track - it's far from the best song on the album which probably doomed Wired Up's chance of success. I personally enjoy this cd since every song is pretty good if you are in the mood for 'light rock' in the vein of Journey or Giuffria. Bassist Gary Moon went on to join Night Ranger when Jack Blades was off in Damn Yankees and drummer Matt Sorum found major fame in Guns N Roses so there is some talent performing with Paris here. Give Wired Up a shot if you are looking for a fairly obscure record in the pomp rock / melodic rock genre.
