Fall of Eagles
This series shows the events and rulers whose actions lead up to WWl and also WWll, It is very well done, and entertaining. The only part that dragged somewhat was the episode involvging Lenin and the Bolsheviks debating who should lead their movement. Great cast, solid acting. As a history buff, I loved it!

Acting carries the Series
This is a typical BBC series of the era. Low-cost production values but great acting....must be in the British genes....the opening narrations are not especially well done...but the series is fun and makes the WWI characters come alive....

Fall of Eagles is good history.
I have long been a student of the end of the monarchies in Europe, which I think is a very sad thing. I didn't know how this series would portray it all. I was pleased that it was very balanced history, not politically correct nonsense, which I had feared it would be.

Terrific, informative show. Highly recommend!
This set of dvd’s Chronicles the downfall of the three great European empires—Austrian, Prussian/German, and Russian, and the rise of Lenin’s totalitarian Soviet regime—as influenced by and leading up to the Great War, i.e. WW I. This is one of the most informative and entertaining programs you’ll see. Great history!!

Superbly acted and historically accurate
Although released in the mid 70's it is not dated and the cast, all old friends from other BBC productions are most superb. I would recommend to anyone interest in European history at the turn of the 20th century and the events leading to WW1. This ranks among the finest series produced by BBC..

Excellent series
Outstanding performances. Brilliant series. Notable performances are Barry Foster as the German Kaiser Wilhelm II and Patrick Stewart as Lenin. For 1974 still stands the test of time. Best on DVD as YouTube is hit or miss.

Good History Lesson
Although the sets and acting seems a little corny, it is a really good synopsis of events leading up to WW1.

Great series! Excellent condition! Thank You!
The actors bring out the different personalities and emotions of the characters so intensely that I felt like I was there sharing there trials and tribulations.
