Its size and weight makes it light and easy to carry, and it does not add a great deal of weight to the overall weight of the computer. This Hitachi hard drive is of HDD type with a hefty storage capacity of 1 TB. This Hitachi hard drive has a rotation speed of 7,200 RPM. The storage capacity, the cache memory and the speed allows efficient storage and retrieval of music, videos, photos and other data. The Hitachi HDD has no fan and therefore, it is almost silent when operating. Optimised for PC's, the Hitachi DeskStar 7K1000.B has a data transfer rate of 300 MB/s. This Hitachi HDD is very economical in power consumption too, as it consumes only 5.2 W of power on idle. The device has a maximum operating temperature of 60 degrees Celsius and has a proven number of data load/unload cycles of 300,000 making it extremely reliable. With all these features the Hitachi DeskStar 7K1000.B is a relatively light weight, easily movable and a useful hard drive that can be operated anywhere with ease.
