Reliable & Ease of Operation
We've had 5 or 6 GPS over the years. Our Magellan 7 inch from 2009 still works but the brightness is gone. Our Tom Tom stopped working and I had to return another off brand because getting it set up was impossible. In the end I bought this Magellan, again. It is the easiest to use, the features are exactly what you need to get around and I'm familiar with how to operate it. Really Nice and Fairly Easy to Use, and Life Time Free Map Updates. Cannot beat it, I guess.
It is really hard to beat better than what I was expecting, but you got really close! I already had a Roadmate 5635T-LM a long time and I thought this would be the larger screen model of the same thing, making it easier for us old fogies to see the objects on the screen better, and I thought it might have some new handy gadgets added to it making its use easier. I still am having trouble with the old model, but I will try this one and see exactly what is the difference. If you had a contact online or via phone that could answer a few questions about common stuff on these models I would appreciate you giving me the ability to converse with them. Very reliable, and many options on the GPS, which make for an easy trip.
This one is just like the one I had for so many years. Very easy to use, and best of all for me, is when I program in the address I am going to. Then the GPS voice (I named her Susie) tells me ahead of time when I need to exit on to a different street. She tells me when I need to make a U-turn because I took the wrong road, and she has bells to ring starting 2 miles ahead of where I need to turn or exit the freeway.
