Great encyclopedic reference book on handguns
Covers the dawn of the pistol to 1945 so it will not contain modern handguns. But what it does cover it does so with a lot of detail; The Luger, The Colt 1911, and other iconic pistols. Each section describes a time period or a country and its weapons. The book is very thick, about 700 pages so you won't read through it quickly. There's plenty here for all handgun fans. Lots of pictures and very detailed technical drawings, some are original shop blueprints. But its not just a picture book, there's plenty of text to satisfy the history buff.
