<h2>Ron Guth</h2><p>This was the last year in which the Mint produced Liberty Head Nickels for circulation.&nbsp; In the scheme of things, the Nickel in 1912 was the second most popular denomination in terms of mintage.&nbsp; Only the Cent has a larger mintage, and after the Nickel, nothing else comes close.&nbsp; Whether collectors were aware that this was the last year of the type or not, sufficient examples were saved that all grades are common today.&nbsp; Only the most superb examples are scarce, and the best example certified to date is a single PCGS MS66+.</p><p>Quality control at the Philadelphia Mint was less than stellar in 1912, and most examples show weakness on some of the stars and on the ear of corn on the left side of the reverse.&nbsp; Finding a fully struck 1912 Nickel could prove to be a real challenge.</p>

    Before purchasing, I asked the seller if they could provide additional photos of the nickel’s obverse and reverse. They replied quickly and sent me the photos I wanted. Buffalo nickels are one of my favorite coin designs. Thus, this nickel is a great addition to my collection. It has exceptional eye appeal with lots of sharp detail (horn, tail, etc). Shipping was fast, and the coin arrived in a protective sleeve. Thank you!

    They’re history and fantastic coins.

    I was raised in the hill country a long time ago. My brother and I would walk to town and sometimes find old coins like this but different coinage. I love them and the history of our great country they represent.

    JUST WHAT I NEEDED

    WHILE IT WAS NOT IN GREAT CONDITION NEITHER ARE THE REST OF THE COINS IN MY WHITMAN ALBUM SO IT WAS IN THE PERFECT CONDITION TO MATCH THE OTHER COINS IN THE ALBUM AS A CIRCULATED FILLER COIN AND IT WAS THE LAST COIN I NEEDED TO FILL THE ALBUM. THANK YOU !
