TRIM compatible!
Works with TRIM--verified using TrimCheck! I'm not going to get into the speed or anything... to me, stability/durability/heat management are more important anyway, and that remains to be seen (for me). I just wanted to report on the TRIM compatibility with SSD's, as I haven't seen anyone mention this yet! My research indicated that this Sabrent model has Jmicron firmware, and the old firmware was not Trim-compatible (even though apparently updateable). So it appears to me that these examplars [from "SalesHub247", I can't speak for any others] have the have the updated Trim-compatible JMicron firmware, so that was excellent (and unexpected). I figured these would be blowouts of the old pre-Trim version; apparently not! And remember, these are primarily for SATA SSD's, not spinner hard drives (for sure not full-sized ones).

Worked perfectly to recover an SSD
I had an ADATA SU650 SSD (256GB) in my Dell Laptop. Recently it stopped booting. I wanted a bigger drive, so I bought an ADATA SU800 SSD (512GB) and put it in the Dell laptop. I had recently backed up the Dell laptop so it was easy to restore the image to the new drive. I ordered the Sabrent USB 3.0 to SSD adapter and plugged in the SU650 SSD. I was able to reformat the drive and it is no available for storage use. Great product works well.

It just works!
Great for USB 3 port connections that can provide more current than 2.0 and run most 2.5" drives, SSDs and spinning drives. No need/way to provide separate power, but that's not it's intent. I got more than one, small and simple for toolbox as well as where I work and play on computers. Keyed so you won't connect it incorrectly as well.
