    Unique lens for professionals and enthusiasts alike!

    Very unique lens for sure. My main complaints are the price and the sharpness. This lenses has several sweet spots to achieve a good image: aperture, focal length, and framing. The lens isn't very sharp at f2.8, but not bad. The edges of the photos are all very soft and sometimes blurry, but you get that with pretty much any fisheye lens from my experience. And finally, focusing on a subject up close can be tricky! Too close, and you distort your subject too much, and too far away, and the subject is too soft. That being said, still one of my favorite lenses! A lot of fun and products extremely unique images! Just have to get used to it!!

    Awesome Little Lens!

    What can I say besides this lens is a little gem. Super small and compact with a 180 degree field of view. This super wide (fisheye) has the expected distortion, but that is the charm of this lens. The distortion is very easily corrected - see attached before and after correction image... It focuses within 2 inches of the front element - and can be super sharp from that close to infinity. I am a wedding photographer and always have this gem in my pocket. Five Stars.

    A+ Fisheye for DX Nikon Cameras

    The optical quality is great. When used with the Imadio Fisheye-Hemi plugin for Photoshop, it provides very usable, ultra-wide angle images. As with all Nikon lenses these days, the optical quality is great, but housed in an all-plastic body. These light weight lenses are not the "built like a tank" all metal lenses of the past. Used with adult supervision, they will hold up OK. The fisheye is not a zoom, so it is somewhat less mechanical than most DX lenses today. It has a macro mode, and the image quality is quite high. This is a specialized lens that many will find just a novelty and then sell off. Mine came in mint condition with low usage.

    First impression

    I am a amateur photographer and it’s my first time using a fisheye lens. As for the quality of the images I must say I’m impressed. All that’s left is for me to learn the fundamentals of composition with this type of lens. The physical condition and operation of the lens is excellent, I have no regrets in purchasing this lens.

    Lightweight, sharp and great value

    Images taken with this Dx lens are comparable to those taken with my 16 mm AIS Fx Nikon lens except the corners are sharper and minimum focusing distance is 1.2 inches vs 12 inches. This lens is small, lightweight and great for shooting in the streets or for travel. Compared to most other fisheye lenses it's a bargain IMHO.
