Way way way too much Florence
The DVD came as exactly as it was suppose to. no problems. The movie itself is a bit boring, and slow. All the characters except for the Nightingale family and Florence herself are fine, too bad the movie wasn't more about them. The family is boring, except her sister Parthe (Ann Thornton) who had potential, but who's part was small, as for Florence she is whiny, self righteous, and annoying beyond belief. Whoever wrote the Florence part should never write again. They could have expanded the rest of the cast for example Sidney Herbert (Peter McEnery) 2 scenes then gone. The rest of the cast is worth watching the movie for.

Stylish Showcase of Sanitation
The first half of the movie has pretty dresses but only had a bit of Miss Nightingale's medical decisions, The second half shows more with the dangers of poor hygiene in the barracks of another country. Don't expect heavy romance. I enjoyed this window into the medical history of the past where things were so bad that maids were probably life-savers.

Wonderful Movie!
I loved this movie! Jaclyn Smith and Timothy Dalton is so great in this. I loved how they brought Florence Nightingale to life from what I have read it is true to her life .

I was so impressed with the story and with the actress!
Jaclyn Smith, in my opinion, was perfect for the part. She was so convincing in her role as Florence Nightingale. The story held my interest every moment. There was not a dull moment in the whole story. It's a powerful story of a faith-filled woman, who changed the future of nursing.

Success!
It's an excellent movie (period piece) with very good acting. Florence Nightingale was an exceptional woman in her time and brought about necessary changes for the care of British soldiers in the face of great adversity.

Florence Nightingale review
Very engaging, docudrama about the life of an interesting historical figure. And Jaqueline Smith is a delight to watch. Highly recommend to anyone thinking of going into nursing.

Good movie
In these violent, chaotic times, filled with evil people, it's nice to be reminded that there is and will be people with compassion and a good heart.
