Outlander Deluxe Season one DVD set.
I would give this series an Item, FIVE STARS***** !!! I have never seen the series on tv or watched an episode before buying this for my wife for Christmas. I just read the first book, Outlander, given to me by my 93 year old mother. There are four books in the series starting from 1991 I believe. The book was written by a WOMAN and has a WOMANS point of view of the Romance story. Just as important as the well written book series, the same care was taken with the Screen play and choosing the characters as well as filming locations. I believe the Director is a Woman or the actors hiring was by a woman. I do not know for sure. Whoever started this VIDEO series, chose the perfect Actress and Actor as the main characters. It is also to be noted that most dramas on tv or the movies , today, only have about 6 characters and the rest are just window dressing. With this series, ALL the supporting cast and periphery cast members are chosen well and have hugely interesting stories. If a series is all about details, then the producers of this 3 year old ?, series, = Has made all the right moves. I wanted to be closer to my wife and we both like period, ancient , antique English dramas where the local maid at a Mansion house is out collecting flowers and runs into the Mysterious Single, Young, Landowner from down the road that no one has seen before. They fight, they fall in love and she marries him and lives happily every after. You get my point on this... Back to this outlander series-. The Actors are superb, all of them. The film locations are well lit, Interesting, and Damn Fun just to watch. Me and my wife sit by the computer every evening and watch one episode for an hour and it is great with no commercials. The little silver flask and story book with the dvds are done really well. The Series follows the book chapters very closely. I have watched Australian talk shows with this Jamie character on , and the audience members are all women and they are crazy for this Great Scot Actor. Sam Heugan? Rivals Sean Connery or Richard Burton at their young ages. IF you want to get closer to your wife and improve your marriage, THEN BUY THIS SERIES WITH THE JEWELRY BOX, FLASK AND DVD SERIES WITH EVERYTHING THAT COMES WITH IT. The Producers of this Outlander series Deserve an OSCAR for "How to do a ScreenPlay adaptation from a book series. I strongly recommend a buy on this one. Randy Hoffmann

Incredible story and amazing acting!
Incredible story and amazing actors. I have watch this on STARZ and Netflix but want to make sure I always have access so I bought it. Love it and can’t recommend it highly enough. It does take a few minutes to get used to the very thick Scottish accent. You might need to use subtitles initially but you catch on pretty quickly. Absolutely amazing story and I can’t say enough about the acting.

Travel Back In Time to the Highlands of Scotland
I read all eight of the books prior to watching the series. The capturing of the essence of the the story onto film is amazingly accurate. You can truly travel back in time and experience life as it was for the Highlanders in the 1700's

Outlander ultimate collection
I was disappointed. I was hoping the hip flask would be engraved with 'Je suis prest'. There was no way to choose the options. The CDs are beautiful but the worst thing is that I can't play the DVD's on my players. I have 3 DVD players and all are incompatible with the discs. It's a Sony production and my players are not. Very disappointed.
