    NCE excellent quality. Shipping time was terrible NOT the sellers fault. He and I communicated a few times. He sent it Priority Mail and it sat in a USPS station for nearly a week. Interesting that it turns out seller is only 20 miles from me. Should have picked it up if I had know first. United arrived well packaged but missing an outer packaging cover and seal had been broken but hit works as described in my programming track. Excellent value in my shopping comparisons.

    AutheTC Fingerprint Reader Review

    As a Computer Professional, found this little $12 "optical" fingerprint reader works quite well for my Client. The Seller also provided 2nd CD clearly labeled "Updated Driver Software", with "Good" instructions (quite rare these days). Tested = 100% Successful reads/Logins. [ One Issue: cannot decline "Personal Safe" component of Software. ]

    DO NOT GET ROBBED - User Support Discontinued and More

    I was robbed! I tried to get support after I found out my browser wasn't supported (which is a BIG reason for my purchase). Packaging or description should have stated it doesn't work with current version of Chrome, and only older versions of Firefox and IE. As far as support goes, I found their website didn't exist and their 800 number not working. The warranty, therefore, was void before the package was ever opened. Help files packaged with the product were of limited value. Folders I locked could not be re-opened most of the time even if given the option of entering my password manually (which came up less than a quarter of the time). When I did open the folders, half the files were gone! They simply vanished and could not be recovered.

    Cannot beat the value

    I was concerned that, because of its affordability, this fingerprint reader would not work well. Thus far, I have been pleasantly surprised. Though the integration with Windows was a bit cumbersome at the outset, after completing it was worked very well. Every once and a while it gets temperamental, but all in all extremely useful and works well.

    U. are U. 4500 has been replaced

    I had an U. are U. 4500 from digitalpersonna that I have been using for a number of years. Although it still works, it will NOT work with Windows 10 correctly. After days of writing a new driver for it under the Digitalpersonna Ent. Pro. SDK I got Windows to see it was a biometric device but it would not load the driver under the Windows Hello screen. I read many forums and even called Crossmatch twice. They told me they would not help me with the software under Windows 10 and the latest version they supported was Windows 7. They said they are moving into more of a tailored market with DOD and securities (banks). Oh well! I found what I thought must be a cheap alternative for under $15 and was most pleasantly surprised at the quality. Although it is not built like the 4500 it is moisture ...

    It works!

    Got this to keep kids off of my business computer, I have three people programmed into it and so far it works great. It is faster than having to type in a pin or password. Took a little bit to install, but process is easy once you find it (hit windows key, settings, accounts, sign in options on windows 10).
