    Memorial prose enhanced by brilliant maps

    Valiant Ambition is history that reads like a CJ Box page turner. The author brings the characters and events of the war to life while clearly explaining the progress and participants of the war. I have since read the other two books in Mr. Philbrick's trilogy and together they make a compelling history of the conflict and the individuals who fought it. I particularly like the maps drawn by Jeffery L. Ward. Mr. Ward's maps are superb and add to the quality of the experience. I have read other books by Mr. Philbrick beyond the Revolutionary War Trilogy and all are excellent. I recommend him to anyone interested in history that jumps off the page.

    Arrived early & in great condition

    Book arrived earlier than expected and is in great condition. Haven’t read it yet but it was recommended by an avid reader in my bookclub and I love history so I’m looking forward to reading it!
