Stereo receiver service manual was as described - original, little (if any) used, and in great condition. Seller protected the manual from wetness and folding during transit using a vinyl mailer inside a sturdy cardboard outer mailer. Shipping costs were reasonable. Addictive reading
These books are classics for a reason. They are part of our American heritage. They are full of history and a great read for children or adults. I enjoyed all of them but my favorite book in this series is the Long Winter. It makes me very thankful we are warm and have plenty to eat in the winter. Pioneers had it rough and we should be thankful they went ahead of us and settled our beautiful country. Laura Ingalls Wilder had a way with words and descriptions. I will warn you these books are quite addictive and I found them to be quite charming. I only read one of them as a child, I checked it out from my very small public school library. I hated reading at the time but I loved the book Little House on the Prairie. I had no idea it was a series. I discovered it later in life when a friend ... These books are classics for a reason. So that got me curious and I ordered a set. Sure enough, it made me look at things differently. We have it so easy compared to our forefathers. I would recommend these books to anyone that is looking for adventure, history, or just a interesting read. I have found that young girls ages 8-12 love them. Farmer Boy is about Almanzo's childhood. There is a vast contrast in their childhoods. Laura's family struggled to survive while Almanzo's family lacked for nothing, they were rich compared to the Ingall's family. I found these books so interesting I could hardly wait to read the next one. I have read through the series at least three times now and I never tire of them. If you want a good read, buy this series and you will not be disappointed. I think it should be required reading for every American child because of the historical value. I feel we are loosing our roots in this country and this brings us back to a time when there were no cell phones, texting, computers, selfies, television, cars, etc. Talk about living off of the grid! Pioneer life was dangerous, challenging, and at times lonely. These are written from the point of view of Laura the Ingall's second daughter. You sort of get to watch her grow up from a small child to a young woman. Just so you know, the TV show Little House is okay but really the show doesn't do the books justice. The books are way better.

These books are in excellent condition considering their age. They look new and have been taken care of. Even more important is the fact that the books make a great gift to give to someone and the reading is of interest. I also like the fact that the print is fairly large so if someone has trouble with small print these books have large enough print that the reader or readers can enjoy without having to strain the eyes. Also, the books are wholesome and take the reader back to a time when the world was simple even though times were often hard. I recommend these books to anyone who has an interest in history or who loves reading about an era gone by.These books are in excellent condition considering their age. Pioneer History in these books - love!
Good condition for a 1971 printing. Pages came off the binder so I had to use super glue to reattach some pages in a few of the books. To be expected for that printing. Also, 2 books were missing a page each. I enjoyed the Little House Books as a child and now I can keep these as momentos from my childhood.

Simply Great Adventure
My Kids Love this set. There is so much adventure. It's really good at helping them develop a sense of imagination and they can put themselves in the story. I am reading this to my 1, 3 and 4 year olds. But I believe this is a readable level for 7-9 year olds.

Absolutely beautiful set.
I grew up having my grandmother read me these stories. Over the years her copies got torn and used. When I received this set I was absolutely blown away at the near perfect condition they are in.
