Product Information

Long relegated to sidekick duties in various Mario games, Toad gets his first starring role as he and attempts to rescue Toadette from the giant bird Wingo in Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker. The action finds players exploring maze-like mini-universes, using Fez-like perspective-altering camera rotations to avoid traps, reveal hidden areas and items, and reach the gold power star at the end of each level. Familiar enemies from the Mario Bros. universe also make life more difficult for Toad, as his treasure-laden backpack makes him slow and unable to jump.Toad does have a few tricks up his sleeve, however, as he can pluck turnips and throw them at foes, use a pickaxe to dig into the ground and discover new areas, and eat double cherries to briefly create a clone of himself. There are more than 70 stages to explore, with boss battles periodically providing a more intense experience, and occasional mine-cart levels switching up the action.

    Captain Toad Treasure Tracker Didn’t Dissappoint

    I have not played this, I got for my son...he LOVES it. Has been playing it all weekend. That is enough to give it 5 ⭐️ cause if it wasn’t good he would have started playing something else. You can also play Super Mario 3D World as Captain Toad which is pretty cool. (And you can also use the amiibo with Mario Kart 8 and Mario Party 10) We have those games, but he hasn’t gotten to all that yet. Awesome 👏🏻

    Great Puzzle Game! Enjoyable without being Frusterating

    Really cute game with engaging puzzles. The feel is similar to Mario 3d world, but so far it isn't as reflexes based. It allows for a great wind-down game where you can use your mind to solve a puzzle but aren't necessarily under a time crunch.

    a LOT of quality content for a really good price

    $20 for all this? seriously get this toad amiibo adds more to levels you've already completed super mario 3d world save data ads more to the game i was surprised how much this game actually had in it, very impressed, and this value pack with the amiibo is great!

    This is 1 fun game I like you very much Love it too when they get to play with it You have lots of boards and a lot of them you gotta do him 3 times to get the extra stuff bonuses Secret hidden spots to find stuff Very challenging for some But after all is a lot of fun to play with it Storage I get a firestar's for having so much fun with it

    Simple yet deep.

    Taken from bonus levels in Super Mario 3D World, Captain Toad expands the premise of small puzzle levels that work just as they do in any 3D Mario game, except Toad can't jump. This small change ripples across the gameplay of Captain Toad, but the extra restriction rarely feels hindering as the levels are clearly designed to show you the routes to the star. The view is completely controllable, giving you the extra tool to find all of the bonuses as well. If you're not a fan of touching the screen while playing, you'll be frustrated as it is a major feature in many levels, and always useful for stunning enemies and finding hidden coins. As with any major Nintendo release, the product quality is top notch, with graphics, sound and control excellent as Captain Toad uses the same engine ...
